Research

The primary mission of the KISS is research and scholastic activities in the field of basic and applied sciences. Some of the research areas for improving elite athletes include exercise physiology, biomechanics, sports psychology, and sports sociology. For improving the health status and total

well-being of the general population, it also focuses on the study of health promotion and evaluation of the effectiveness of sports and physical education policies in practice. Also, national policies in sports and physical education are formulated and recommended, after extensive research work by our scientists. Research also extends to the development of sports equipment and related facilities, for greater efficiency and better performance.

Support

One of the important functions of the KISS is maintaining a support system. The KISS develops up-to-date scientific programs to support elite and professional athletes, national and junior teams. The programs are developed for acquiring scientific training methods and technical information, and for selecting and evaluating athletes efficiently. We provide consultation for each sports event, measuring and evaluating various aspects of each athlete and/or teams. And we will dispatch researchers for immediate investigation when necessary. For better performance of promising athletes, we provide consultations to increase psychological stability and to inform of scientific rehabilitation programs.

Nurturing Sports Leaders

We offer academic programs for athletic coaches and participatory sports leaders, as well as education programs for administrative public officials in physical education. For continuing education, we provide life-long education for qualified coaches and leaders

International Exchange Program

The KISS is actively involved in dispatching our scientists to other countries for scholastic reasons and attending academic conferences. We also exchange researchers with other institutions located in foreign countries. The major aim of the program is to acquire advanced sports and technical information from around the globe
