The Korea Institute of Sport Science runs sports science support projects designed to improve the competitive performance of elite athletes in the various regions in Korea.

It operates the Sport Science Center at sites around Korea to provide student athletes and professional/ amateur athletes with sports science support that can help them develop into athletes representing Korea locally or internationally, which includes supports such as the measurement and assessment of fitness, psychology, &techniques, as well as counseling, training, & specialized education.
